New SumDU partnership in Poland with perspective of double degree programme and joint research projects

Director of the Medical Institute of Sumy State University Andrii LOBODA and the Rector’s Assistant for International Relations and the Head of the International Affairs Department Kostyantyn KYRYCHENKO returned from a productive visit to Poland.

During the visit to Polish partners, SumDU representatives met with the leadership of the Akademia Kaliska (Kalisz), local authorities, and management of regional clinics, presented SumDU proposals for cooperation, got acquainted in detail with modern facilities of Polish institutions.

The preparatory work for the official launch of the international partnership between SumDU and Akademia Kaliska resulted in the signing of the cooperation agreement between the two higher education institutions and the formation of an action plan for the near future.

The planned activities of the parties under this agreement include the possibility of training medical students of SumDU in frames of a double degree programme, preparation of joint grant projects to support research, involvement of local authorities and business in joint innovative projects.

The implementation of the planned cooperation will provide additional opportunities for parallel training and practical internships of SumDU students in the EU universities, exchange of teachers, as well as conducting research using modern equipment and best practices.
